Welcome to the Home Page of the
Army Security Agency (ASA) Chitose Association Inc.

The group was founded in 1989 by a few friends who kept in contact after their assignment to Chitose, Japan with the ASA in the late 1950's.
The purpose of the group is to hold annual reunions, publish a twice a year newsletter, and  help you relocate old friends.
The group is a fraternal organization regardless of rank with an even mix of career types and single termers.  It is governed by a 6 member board.
Day to day activities and routine matters are handled by Roy Gettz (321-259-7039)
(
asachitoseassn@att.net).  The purpose of  this site is to establish an "electronic presence" for the group on the World Wide Web.   If you've ever been assigned, attached to, or a dependent with ASA Chitose, you are encouraged to contact the group by e-mail, phone, or regular mail. (Mail address: ASA Chitose Association, 3091 Blackbird CT, Melbourne FL 32935).  Please be sure to include your home address so that a newsletter and roster can be sent to you.
Thank you for visiting our site and enjoy your visit.

Special Gift of Kindness

Letter from Bob Cohrt to Andrew Goodrich :
Dear Andy,
Per our recent conversation. I was the recipient of a donated 2006 Chrysler Pacifica through the combined efforts of the donator; William Karr of  Karr Tuckpointing in Vinton, Iowa. Roger Uthoff the American Legion Post Commander in Vinton, Iowa and Chuck James, Director of Veterans affairs for Benton County in Iowa. These gentleman coordinated the donation to be made available to a needy veteran.
I was at Chitose from 1961- 1963 and worked in Finance. I just want everyone to know that there are some wonderful people that have the veterans needs in their thoughts and actions.
Mr. Karr is to be admired for his contribution. He put on new tires, good battery, and a full tank of gas. He had the car serviced and he paid the cost of the registration.
My thanks to all who made this possible and I remain a proud member of the ASA Chitose Association.
Sincerely,
Bob Cohrt
